Aim. To determine the association of MMP-9 gene polymorphism MMP-9 rs17576, MMP-12 rs2276109, MMP-20 rs2245803 to the early left ventricular remodeling after acute myocardial infarction(MI). Materials and methods. The study involved 84 patients with MI. Verification of the type of early post-infarction left ventricular remodeling was carried out by using the standart method of echocardiography. Determination of gene polymorphism of MMP-9 rs17576, MMP-12 rs2276109, MMP-20 rs2245803 was performed by PCR using primers NGO “Liteh” (Moscow). Results. A statistically significant association of the A allele A MMP-20 rs2245803 with the formation of an early dilatation of left ventricular remodeling was established. The result of our work was the construction of a model with a high accuracy discriminating the type of LV remodeling, the greatest influence in which were the average systolic pressure of the pulmonary artery and the carriage of the genotype AA MMP-20 rs2245803. Conclusion. Carriage of the A allele A MMP-20 rs2245803 was associated with early dilatational remodeling of the left ventricle, increasing the chance of its formation by 2.8 times. Using the discriminant prognostic model, it is possible to determine with high accuracy the formation of both hypertrophic and dilatational types of LV remodeling using parameters of systolic pressure of the pulmonary artery and genetic predicators of MMP-20 rs2245803.
