Background. Clinical picture of connective tissue dysplasia syndrome is determined, along with manifestations of minor heart abnormalities (MHA) as such, also by neuro-psychic disorders, to which these individuals are predisposed, especially under the influence of external stress factors. Aim. Analysis of the psycho-physiological status in young people with mild and moderate MHA. Materials and methods. Peculiarities of the psycho-physiological status were studied in 174 young individuals using the Toronto alexithymia scale and the Yu. Khanin modification of C. Spielberger test. Results. It was shown that individuals with moderate MHA (reference group) compared to individuals with mild MHA (main group) were characterized by difficulties in expression of their feelings as well as in verbalization and differentiation of somatic sensations. Individuals of the reference group were characterized by higher levels of both reactive and personal anxiety than participants of the main group. At the same time, significant differences in the psycho-physiological status between individuals of the main and the control (without MHA signs) groups were not found. Conclusion. Individuals with more pronounced manifestations of MHA are more anxious and need psycho-physiological correction of the observed changes to enhance the effect of secondary prevention of this abnormality.
