Structural and functional changes in heart musclesand fatty acids red cell membrane fraction in patients with chronic prostatitis

Background. Chronic Prostatitis (CP) – represents one of the most widely spread urological disturbances. One of the most often symptoms of CP is autonomic dysfunction. Well known that chronic sympathicotonya may lead to the early cardio-vascular complication, however mechanism of its developing in the course of chronic Prostatitis remains unknown. Aim. Investigation of the interrelation of sympathicotonia red cell membrane fraction composition of fatty acids and developing of structural and functional changes in heart muscles in patients with Chronic Prostatitis. Materials and methods. 50 patients were included in our protocol. Heart Rhythm Variability Analysis and, Echocardiography were performed as well as investigation of the fatty acids profile of red cells membrane. Results and conclusion. Prolonged sympathicotonia has a negative Impact on fatty acids level with a misbalance of its composition which is in its turn leads to the development of myocardial dysplasia.
