Effect of perindopril argunine on biomechanics of arterial bed in patients with chronic heart failure of ischemic etiology

Relevance. Propulsion activity of the arterial system is a major factor providing adequate blood circulation in the organs and tissues. Objective. Assess kinetic changes in the arterial bed after single administration of perindopril arguinine (A) in patients with CHF of ischemic cause. Materials and methods. 48 patients, who suffered MI, with CHF stage I–IIА and FC II, were examined. Computer sphygmography measured in all patients averages rate, acceleration, and capacity of a. carotis, a. radialis, a. femoralis wall moves in inflow phases and outflow at baseline, in 1 and 6 hours after perindopril А administration. Results. Biomechanics indices of the arteries studied during the main phases of vascular cycle went down in 1 hour after drug administration. In 6 hours, rate and capacity indices increased during inflow in all vessels and went down during outflow in peripheral arteries. Conclusion. Perindopril A is favorable to kinetics of the arterial bed in patients with CHF of ischemic cause, reduced vascular wall stress, improves their propulsion activity, and reduces general peripheral vascular resistance.
