Relevance. Despite new knowledge about cardiomyopathies, regular revisions and improvement of the existing classifications, there are still debatable questions connected with diagnostics and management of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCMP) with RV involvement. Objective. Comparative study of specific clinical hemodynamic indices in DCMP patients with biventricular and predominant lesion of the right chambers of heart. Materials and methods. EchoCG data were analyzed in 60 patients with DCMP divided into two groups: Group I – with right ventricular DCMP (n=20, age 43.30±14.1 years) and Group 2 – with biventricular lesion (n=40, age 47.95±11.8 years). Results. In the structure of inpatients, the right ventricular DCMP was observed in 7.1 % cases. Certain distinctions in the disease course, specific electrocardiographic features, parameters of intracardiac hemodynamics and external breath function depending on a heart lesion type were revealed. Conclusion. The obtained results apparently have certain restrictions, including in view of a small quantity of patients and absence of accurate morphological distinctions between the conditions. However, as clinical data are accumulated, optimal diagnostic criteria of the right ventricular DCMP can be found, and these researches must go on.
