According to results from EuroHeart Failure survey (2003), LV EF below 40% is observed in 51% of men and in only 28% of women with CHF; normal LV systolic function is observed in 22 % of men and the majority of women (55 %). Article shows peculiarities and mechanisms for formation of LV diastolic dysfunction (DD) in most common diseases such as chronic obstructive lung disease (COLD), DM, anemias and in advanced age.
