Analysis of associations between aldosterone synthase -344T/C gene polymorphism and chronic heart failure of ischemic etiology

Relevance. High incidence, prevalence and mortality as a result of chronic heart failure (CHF) allow considering CHF as a serious problem of the modern public health world wide. Recently, interaction between genetic factors and development and severity of chronic heart failure has been widely analysed. Aim of the present study was to study the association of polymorphic marker -344 T / C, gene CYP11B2 with CHF within a homogenous ethnic group. Materials and methods: DNA of 142 patients with CHF, ethnic tatars, who survived macro focal myocardium infarction, was used during the research. The control group consisted of 137 males without indications of cardiovascular disease. Genotyping of polymorphic marker -344T / C aldosterone synthase gene within the patient and control groups was performed using polymerase chain reaction method. Clinical and instrumental research methods (test 6 minutes walk, echo cardio test) were applied in the work. Results. It was determined that polymorphism of -344 T / C aldosterone synthase gene is associated with risk of development of CHF. Patients, who survived macro focal myocardium infarct, genotype CYP*T / *T and allele CYP*T are linked with risk of development of CHR at the age above 50 years old. Data confirming link polymorphic -344 T / C of gene CYP11B2 with structure-functional indicators of left ventricular was received.
