Hepatic injury in chronic heart failure
Storozhakov G.I., Ettinger O.A.
Hepatic injury in heart failure (CHF) develops in many cases. Hemodynamic and ischemic mechanisms of CHF-related hepatic injury are distinguishable. A variant of hepatic injury in patients with CHF is ischemic hepatitis (IH). Article analyses causes for development of IH and considers issues of diagnostics and differential diagnosis. A notion of other forms of CHF-related hepatic injury such as cardiac fibrosis and hepatic cirrhosis is also provided. Approaches to drug therapy in patients with CHF-related hepatic injury are presented.
